We’ll begin with a 20-minute conversation over the phone or via Zoom. During this time, I’ll ask some general questions to understand your current organizing needs, past experiences with organization, and specific goals for seeking KonMari guidance.
Whether you’re familiar with the KonMari method or working with a professional organizer for the first time, this consultation will give us both an opportunity to get to know each other. It will help us determine if we’re a good fit for collaborating to create a more peaceful and joyful living environment.
I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have about the KonMari method or my approach. We’ll also discuss my rates and availability. If we decide to move forward, we can set up an appointment for a more detailed in-person or virtual needs assessment.
In this 1-hour session, held in person or virtually, we’ll dive deeper into your vision for your space and lifestyle. We’ll go over an ideal lifestyle questionnaire to help clarify your priorities, and you’ll give me a home tour. I’ll take a few “before” photos to be used for the assessment. If you decide to continue, these photos will become part of the “before” record. If not, they will be deleted.
Together, we’ll begin outlining a roadmap for your organizing journey, structured around the KonMari categories. Within 7 days after this assessment, I’ll follow up by email with 3 personalized organizing options for you to consider. You’ll decide which option best suits your needs.
Once you've selected an option, I’ll provide you with a Contract to sign, which you can either email back or bring to our first decluttering session. Sessions are 4 hours, including a 10-minute break. You will be provided with a shared Google document with a Decluttering and Organizing Action Plan, which we’ll use as a checklist and to track hours worked together.
To make the most of our time, please complete and bring the Contract to our first session, or fill it out and email it beforehand. Keeping a journal is also beneficial for capturing insights throughout your organizing journey. If possible, bring your journal to each session to support your progress.
